On that day, August 3, 1978, Frans Krajcberg, Sepp Baendereck and Pierre Restany returned from the Rio Negro expedition, completely choked by the strength and beauty of the Amazonian nature. The panorama to which they surrendered aboard the "Robson Kings" constitutes their reflection on the experience they have just lived, the "Amazon shock". They unanimously agree with the fact that this nature generates a discipline of perception, an entire affective and emotional process that opposes the desensitization of creative thought, the cause of the conceptual chaos of our present time.
